SLHS Drama presents “Arsenic and Old Lace”
The San Luis High School drama department presents the classic comedy, “Arsenic and Old Lace.”
Directors Timothy Ames and Benjamin Crary are excited to invite the community to their performances of this classic play. Performances run from Wednesday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 1. Shows begin promptly at 6 p.m. each night in the SLHS Performing Arts Center.
“I selected this play because I wanted to challenge my students with some classic character work and a bit of old-school comedy,” said Ames, who is in his second year leading the SLHS drama department. “Characters like the young lovers, eccentric old ladies, a mad doctor, and the murderous villain. This may be a comedy, but over the course of this wild night, the Brewsters help us explore real concepts like family, loyalty, love and a little bit of our own dark sides.”
Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door and can be purchased from any SLHS drama student.
