SLHS invited to submit short films for San Luis Film Festival
San Luis High School students have been invited to participate in the 2019 San Luis Film Festival.
This is the eighth year of the event, which takes place Nov. 12-15, 2019, and will feature world premier films by professional filmmakers from around the world. Students are asked to create and submit short films for consideration during the open submission window.
“We are excited to participate in the San Luis Film Festival,” said SLHS drama teacher Tim Ames, who will be the school’s staff representative for the event. “As a staff, we look forward to helping our students share their unique point of view with the world though the art of film.”
The theme is “Sonrie San Luis” (What makes you smile about San Luis) and is open to juniors and seniors at SLHS. Two first place winners will receive a full-time tuition waiver to Arizona Western College during the 2020-21 academic year.
The deadline for submissions is Oct. 15, 2019. For full contest rules and further information about the event, please visit: https://sanluisfilmfestival.com/
