YUHSD campuses to conduct ACT practice exams
Yuma Union High School District will be administering ACT Practice Exams on all campuses throughout the district on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
All juniors, sophomores, and freshmen will take the practice exam.
Classes with combined cohorts will make appropriate arrangements for seniors in their class. It is important that all students attend all classes and tests on time. Questions about bell schedules on specific campuses should be directed to the respective school’s academics office.
Based on data shared by Horizon Education, a district partner for ACT test preparedness, YUHSD students who participated in test prep during the 2018-19 school year increased their scores by an average of 2.7 points with those who simply took a practice test earning an average score increase of 1.09 points.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
- ACT practice is only for juniors, sophomores and freshmen.
- The ACT exam has four sections in this order: English, Math, Reading and Science.
- The practice exam will be completed electronically.
