Gila Ridge announces Homecoming activities
Gila Ridge High School will be hosting its annual Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 from 8 p.m. until 12 a.m.
The dance, held in the Gila Ridge Main Gym, will open its doors at 8 p.m. with the dance concluding promptly at midnight. Parents who are picking up their students from the dance are encouraged to arrive early to help keep traffic at a minimum.
Although the dance is the culmination of Homecoming Week, other events are occurring throughout the week leading up to the varsity football game between the Hawks and Yuma High School.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, from 7-10 p.m. GRHS will be hosting a spirit bonfire. The bonfire will be directly behind Veteran’s Memorial Stadium. The following evening, Friday, Sept. 27, Gila Ridge will be facing off against Yuma High in the annual Homecoming Football Game. Kickoff for the game will be at 7 p.m. and the halftime show will feature Gila Ridge’s band and color guard, dance team, cheerleaders, and the Homecoming Court. Saturday’s dance will wrap up the festivities.
